  Last updated: 1 April 2025

Please read these terms carefully. By visiting this website or enrolling in any Kaya Legacy course, you agree to the terms described here. If any part is unclear, you are welcome to contact us before enrolling.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These terms and conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of the website at kayalegaki.live ("Site") and any educational courses offered by Kaya Legacy Pte. Ltd. ("Kaya Legacy", "we", "us", or "our"), a company incorporated in Singapore.

By accessing the Site or enrolling in a course, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, each of which is incorporated by reference.

If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Site or enrolling in any course.

2. Nature of Content — Education, Not Advice

All content provided by Kaya Legacy — whether on this Site, within course materials, in worksheets, or in any communications — is intended solely for general educational and informational purposes.

Nothing Kaya Legacy provides constitutes, or should be construed as, financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, legal advice, or any other form of regulated advice or recommendation. Kaya Legacy is not licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) to provide financial advisory services under the Financial Advisers Act.

Any personal financial or investment decisions you make remain entirely your own responsibility. We encourage you to consult a MAS-licensed financial adviser before making any such decisions.

References to specific financial instruments, fund types, regulatory frameworks, or market concepts are made for illustrative and educational purposes only and do not constitute endorsement, recommendation, or solicitation.

3. Course Enrolment

Eligibility

Courses are open to adults aged 18 and above. Our materials are designed with adults in their forties and beyond in mind, though we do not restrict enrolment by age.

Enrolment Process

Enrolment is completed when you submit a completed enrolment form and your payment is received and confirmed. You will receive a written confirmation to the email address you provide.

Accuracy of Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when enrolling and to update such information if it changes.

Course Commencement

Course start dates and access instructions will be communicated to enrolled learners by email. Kaya Legacy reserves the right to reschedule a course commencement date with reasonable advance notice.

4. Payment and Fees

Course fees are stated in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and are payable in full at the time of enrolment unless otherwise agreed in writing. Current fees are:

  • Understanding What a Unit Trust Actually Is — SGD 209
  • Reading a Factsheet and Prospectus with Care — SGD 459
  • Placing Funds Thoughtfully Within a Household — SGD 779

All fees are inclusive of any applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) where required by law. Kaya Legacy will provide a receipt upon successful payment. We accept payment by the methods displayed on the enrolment form. Payment processing is handled by a third-party payment provider; Kaya Legacy does not store your card details.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation by the Learner

You may request a cancellation and full refund within seven (7) calendar days of your enrolment confirmation, provided that the course has not yet commenced and you have not accessed any digital course materials.

After this seven-day window, or once course materials have been accessed, fees are non-refundable except in the circumstances described below.

Exceptional Circumstances

If you are unable to participate due to a serious medical event or bereavement, please contact us. We will review such requests with care and may offer a transfer to a future course intake at our discretion.

Cancellation by Kaya Legacy

If Kaya Legacy cancels a course intake before it commences, enrolled learners will receive a full refund of fees paid. We will endeavour to provide at least two weeks' notice of any such cancellation.

Requesting a Refund

All refund requests should be submitted in writing to [email protected]. Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days by the original payment method.

6. Course Materials and Access

Upon enrolment, you will be granted personal, non-transferable access to the course materials for the duration of the course and a reasonable period thereafter as communicated at enrolment.

Course materials are provided for your personal study only. You may not share login credentials, distribute materials to third parties, or make copies for commercial use.

Kaya Legacy reserves the right to update or amend course materials to reflect changes in regulation, terminology, or educational best practice. Where material changes are made after you have enrolled, we will aim to notify you.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site and within course materials — including text, illustrations, worksheets, templates, guides, and the Kaya Legacy name and mark — is the property of Kaya Legacy Pte. Ltd. or its licensors and is protected by Singapore copyright and intellectual property law.

You are permitted to use course materials for your own personal learning. You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, adapt, or create derivative works from any Kaya Legacy content without our prior written permission.

8. Learner Conduct

Where courses include discussion forums, group sessions, or other interactive elements, you agree to engage respectfully and in good faith. You will not post content that is defamatory, misleading, offensive, or in violation of any applicable law.

Kaya Legacy reserves the right to remove any content that breaches these standards and, in serious cases, to suspend or terminate a learner's access without refund.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, Kaya Legacy's liability to you in connection with the use of this Site or any course is limited to the fees you paid for the relevant course.

Kaya Legacy shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss, including any financial loss arising from decisions you make in reliance on educational content provided by Kaya Legacy.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Singapore law.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify enrolled learners by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

Your continued use of the Site or participation in a course after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the revised Terms, please contact us.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
